East Bend Animal Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to join our team in beautiful Bend, Oregon. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about practicing high-quality medicine while providing clinical leadership that supports exceptional patient care, efficient hospital operations, and a positive client experience.
As Medical Director, you will partner with hospital leadership to guide medical standards, support team development, address client concerns, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

- Small animal GP

Surgery & Medicine
Our caseload includes:
- Spays and neuters
- Mass removals
- Eyelid surgeries
- Foreign body surgeries
- Cystotomies
- Amputations
- FHOs

- 6 exam rooms in a clean, organized 3,000 sq. ft. hospital
- Double dental suite with digital dental radiography
- Fully equipped surgical suite with cautery
- In-house laboratory
- Navi ultrasound

- Alternative medicine options including nutrition, supplements, herbs, and CBD
Exceptional Support Team
- 4 Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs)
- Skilled veterinary assistants

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
- Base salary: $150,000-$190,000, depending on experience and schedule
- Production bonus
- Medical Director stipend

Qualifications
Required
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent certification for international graduates)
- Successful completion of the NAVLE
- Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
Preferred
- Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
- Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, or companion animal medicine
- Leadership experience or interest in veterinary leadership
- Strong communication and team-building skills

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
