An Amtrak station is located 0.4 miles from the Department’s main buildings. The University is a Land Grant, Sea Grant, Space Grant, and Carnegie Engaged University. The University of Delaware is a state-assisted institution with selective admissions and a student body of more than 19,000 undergraduate and 4,000 graduate students.
