PetWow is a multi location (with mobile care) small animal practice. We have been family owned and operated, and proudly serving the Greater Cincinnati area for over 50 years. We love our people, pets, and pet parents! Company History

For more than 50 years, PetWow has remained family owned and operated. Founded in the early 1970s by Dr. Raymond Stamper, our story is rooted in hard work, community, and a deep love for animals. Dr. Stamper was born in the hills of Appalachia as one of ten children in a coal-mining family. With the unwavering support of his friends and family, he became the only sibling to attend college—ultimately fulfilling his dream of becoming a veterinarian. Opening the doors of his first hospital was a family effort, built with the help of loved ones and strengthened by the trust of the community he served.

Over time, the practice grew. Dr. Stamper’s sons, who spent their childhoods working alongside him, later assumed leadership after his passing, carrying his vision. Today, that vision has expanded to include professional grooming, multiple hospital locations, and mobile veterinary care—ensuring we meet the needs of families across the Greater Cincinnati area. At our core, we remain committed to our mission: to "strengthen people and pets by making pet care easy". We take pride in delivering veterinary excellence with convenience, compassion, and a personal touch that reflects our family values and community roots.
