About Prosper, Texas: Prosper is a dynamic suburb of Dallas, experiencing significant growth with a current population of approximately 42,598 as of January 1, 2024. 

The town's strategic location offers convenient access to premier destinations such as the PGA of America headquarters and the upcoming Universal Studios theme park in Frisco, both less than a 5-minute drive away. This prime location enhances recreational opportunities and contributes to Prosper's appeal as a vibrant and rapidly expanding community.

Positions Available:

• Full-time technicians: Overnight shifts.

Qualifications:

• Compassion: A genuine love for animals and a desire to help them
• Communication skills: The ability to effectively communicate with pet owners, veterinarians, and other staff members.
• Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail when recording information, administering medication, and performing other tasks.
• Manual dexterity: Skill in handling animals, medical instruments, and laboratory equipment.
• Physical strength: The ability to lift and manage animals of various sizes 
• Education: Valid veterinary technician credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT). Experience: Non-credentialed technicians with experience in ER, surgery, endoscopy, and critical care are also encouraged to apply. The ability to perform CPR and set IV catheters is a requirement 
• Leadership roles – Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) will perform lead roles and help manage & train in areas of expertise
  
  

About the Role:

As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in our daily operations and patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Preparing animals for procedures and monitoring their vital signs.
• Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
• Performing laboratory tests and interpreting results.
• Taking and processing radiographs.
• Educating clients on animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Providing compassionate care to all animals.

• Dedicated suites for minimally invasive orthopedic, general orthopedic, and soft tissue surgeries.
