Are you looking for a hands-on externship? We promise to make this internship the most interactive experience you will be able to find!

We will start your externship by sitting down with you and planning out your week. You will be able to tailor your time with us to whatever interests you most. We will make sure you will be able to use your skills and knowledge to perform exams and surgeries and evaluate cases instead of wasting your time following staff members around "shadowing". We promise that you will spend the majority of your time actively interacting with clients and patients.

We perform surgeries every day of the week and will allow you to actively perform them with us. Recent surgeries we have done include splenectomy, cystotomy, gastrotomy, rabbit spay/neuter, and mass removals. And of course, you will have many opportunities to perform spays, neuters, and dental extractions. 

We will have case presentations for you to evaluate including toxic ingestions, radiographic film interpretation, lab work, and cytology.

We also have some opportunities for large animal (small dairies, farm animal rescue sanctuary, beef cattle, boar stud) and exotic animal experience if interested. 

You will also be allowed to hone your skills with catheter placement, drug calculations, dental radiographs, urinalysis, bandaging, nutritional calorie calculations, infections, client interactions, and anesthetic monitoring. 

Additionally, we will be looking to hire a new vet in the coming year so a career opportunity may exist for the right candidate.
