Best Friends Animal Hospital is a 2 doctor, well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. As our Managing Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership for a team of collaborative veterinarians and crafting an environment that fosters teamwork and quality medicine. You will also partner with the Hospital Manager to ensure the success and growth of the hospital and work with Divisional Leadership to accomplish hospital goals. Your duties will include: coordinating cases to ensure positive outcomes, accurate estimates, and excellent client communication, establishing protocols, and leading staff members in education and performance.
Additionally, as the Managing Veterinarian, you will partner with the Hospital Manager to drive financial performance and general operations of the hospital and to more broadly cultivate a supportive and collaborative team environment. This hospital-level team is supported by their Keystone Empire Divisional Leadership who provides practice management training, reporting, and ongoing resources to develop a best-in-class hospital.
Team Leadership and Management – As a leader the Managing Veterinarian/Medical Director will participate in the recruiting and interview process for Veterinarians and general team members when appropriate. The Managing Veterinarian/Medical Director will monitor other Veterinarians performance, prepare their work schedules and develop compliance protocols. The Managing Veterinarian/Medical Director will handle training of all medical staff including mentorship of new graduates.

Skills and Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification. License in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania.
