We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to join our team at the Akaal Veterinary Hospital in Sacramento. As the Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in leading our veterinary team, ensuring exceptional patient care, and maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine. You will have the opportunity to shape the practice's direction, foster a positive work culture, and provide mentorship to our veterinarians and support staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight to our veterinary team, including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
• Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with the management team to set and achieve practice goals and objectives.
• Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork, communication, and professional development.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to veterinarians and staff members.
• Oversee the management of medical cases, including diagnostics, treatment plans, and surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely and effective communication with clients.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and incorporate best practices into the practice.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current and valid veterinary license in the state of Nevada, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in small animal veterinary practice.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to providing compassionate care and excellent customer service.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
