Steinbeck Small Animal Clinic is a cozy stand-alone building with two exam rooms located on the same property as Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinic’s Salinas Practice. The Small Animal Clinic is equipped with excellent equipment to offer a full scope of services including diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery (routine, elective and advanced), dentistry, wellness, and preventative care, and much more.
We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian (Full- or Part-Time ) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, enjoy collaboration, and possess top-notch veterinary expertise focused on improving the health, length, and quality of life of each pet.
Responsibilities:
Examine and treat pets, diagnosing various illnesses, diseases, and injuries
Treat pets by prescribing medication, cleaning, and dressing wounds, and performing other medical procedures
Provide wellness and preventative care to pets
Conduct pet surgery, including spay, neuter and more
Conduct dental cleanings and surgery
Advise pet owners on proper aftercare following surgeries and medical procedures
Establish and communicate thorough and accurate treatment plans
Update pet records following each treatment and medical procedure
Treat animals lovingly and humanely, showing compassion and concern for patient well-being

Full- or part-time, Monday-Friday, day shift, 10-hour shifts
Qualifications:
Completed DVM required
Small animal veterinarian experience (1 year preferred)
Active California Veterinarian license
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
