In search of Small or Mixed Animal Veterinarian for part-time or full time position.

I have a mixed animal practice in Livingston, Texas. We are predominantly small animal but we see Horses, Cows, Goats and Sheep as well. I built and started this practice and we have been open 20 years now. Our practice has grown and I am now ready to hire an additional veterinarian.

New graduates or experienced veterinarians are welcome. I am willing to mentor new graduates if so desired. I learned from others and think its important to share experiences to foster that same learning process.

We have a busy, fast paced practice. We pride our self on our friendly environment and our courteous service. Our clients come back because of our excellent communication skills and quality medicine we practice. Our clinic is centered around preventative medicine and treatment of cases with medical and surgical expertise. We just added a new Surgery Suite complete with an advanced diagnostic center. This includes a ProCyte CBC machine, Idexx Catalyst One chemistry machine, Digital Radiography, numerous Idexx snap tests including, Feline Pro-BNP, snap Foal IgG, snap 4DX, FIV/Felv/Heartworm, Giardia, etc.

Our Surgery is equipped with state of the art monitors(ECG's, Blood Pressure, Pulse oximeter, apnea monitors, etc.)We do most of the surgeries here including orthopedic cases, tumor excisions, urologic cases, diaphragmatic hernia repair, wound repair, etc.

Our Large Animal facility consists of a horse barn and cattle handling facility. The barn is complete with stocks and stalls. We treat and hospitalize cases as needed. We treat colic's either on an out-patient basis or offer hospitalization and IV fluids. We do a fair amount of farm calls to increase our large animal business.

Compensation Package for recent graduates includes $93,000 as base salary, plus additional income for emergency duty, paid CE, paid vacation, paid PLIT, etc.
