Parrish Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, small animal practice located in Parrish Florida. Parrish is a very fast-growing town located centrally between St. Petersburg, Tampa, Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota.

We are looking to add an associate DVM to our highly trained team. At our hospital, we focus on the client as well as the patient experience to make them feel at home.  All our staff is cross trained to work as a team while supporting the doctor to help increase the patient contact time. We us an integrated cloud based medical records system to simplify and expedite workflow and notes.

We operate out of a historic home built in 1917 that we completely remolded in the summer of 2022. While we updated the “bones”, we were able to keep the charm of the front porch style old Florida home (complete with rocking chairs). We have 4 large exam rooms (two with folding tables), dedicated x-ray room, treatment, and surgery rooms. We offer full body radiographs, dental radiographs, ultrasound, and in-house bloodwork (Abaxis).

Schedule is flexible:

Ideal schedule would be 4 full days one week (8:00am-5:00pm) and 4 full days with one half day (Saturday morning) the following week, for a total of 34 hours per week. We do not offer after hour calls, so there are no emergencies to come in for.

ProSal pay starting at $100,000-$120,000 and 20% of all invoiced items.

All dues/license fees paid by hospital

2 weeks’ vacation

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Florida
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
• The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
• Communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems based on physical exam; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
• Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
• Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
• Treat each pet like they were one of your own.
