Who we are:

Alto Tiburon Veterinary Hospital (ATVH) is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our rapidly expanding practice in Marin County, California.  We are located just 10 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge in what is arguably the most beautiful town in the whole Bay Area. Committed to private ownership and management, we have maintained the family veterinarian feeling, while providing our clients and their pets with the most up to date diagnostic and treatment modalities. Alto Tiburon has created an environment where we work hard and play harder. Our staff and veterinarians enjoy comradery, collaboration, and collegiality, without competition.  

We boast a well-trained staff of RVTs, assistants and customer service representatives. Diagnostics include in-house blood (CBC, chemistry, electrolyte), urinalysis, sediment analyzer, digital cytology, digital radiographs, ultrasound, ECG with cardiopet, a computerized record system and complete Idexx support. We have a fully outfitted, designated, surgical suite and separate wet table. Furthermore, in the coming year we will be expanding into a new building, expanded, and renovated to meet our specific needs.

Additionally, our practice has wonderful relationships with local specialists, including internists, surgeons, and radiologists, who visit our practice for orthopedic procedures, endoscopy, and ultrasound.

What we are looking for:

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a post-doctoral internship, though we also value experience. A solid foundation in medicine and surgery, including routine dentistry, is required as well as being able to manage anesthetic complications, should they arise. As in most general practices, emergencies arise and are shared by doctors on a case-by-case basis. Anyone joining our team should be focused on making the best medical recommendation to the client, as this is the cornerstone of our philosophy. Likewise, we value the fun and team-oriented environment that we have fostered at our practice. So, any candidate should work well with team members, value and respect their support staff and be willing to mentor and be mentored based on the situation that arises. In short, no divas.

Alto Tiburon doctors work on a 4-10 schedule. We are open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. Applicants should be willing to work Saturdays and have a valid license to practice in California as well as USDA accreditation.
