We are a modern, progressive practice that prides itself in providing the highest quality veterinary care. We are a modern facility with full Idexx lab equipment, new digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound, therapy laser, etc. We offer a broad array of services including preventive care, comprehensive hospital care, wide range of soft tissue surgery, and some orthopedic surgery as well. Who We Are Looking For
Seeking an Associate Veterinarian with a passion for quality medicine. In addition to quality preventive care, our veterinarians work up complicated medical cases and oversee their treatment until completion. They will work with and oversee a competent support staff to provide exceptional care. Opportunity to practice some mixed animal medicine is available in our area but is not required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preventive and wellness care and client education
- Complete medical/diagnostic work up of patients
- Complete management of cases including hospitalization
- Soft tissue surgery
- Accurate and timely medical recordkeeping
- Financial Responsibilities
- Create accurate estimates for treatment plans
- Communicate treatment plans and costs to clients
- Follow hospital policies for client payment
- Continuing education
- Attend outside CE courses to maintain license
- Share new information with colleagues
- Assist in staff training as needed
- Attend on-site staff trainings and meetings
- Ability to problem solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to calculate figures such as drug dosing, dilutions, percentages, unit conversions, fluid rates, etc.
- Thoroughly write medical records and record correspondences.
- Be able to read and interpret documents such as lab reports, outside medical records, blood results, etc
- Ability to read and interpret radiographs, cytologies, Fine Needle Aspirates, etc
- Basic computer knowledge/ability. Familiarity with common software such as Windows, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader, etc. Familiarity with Cornerstone is a plus.
