Our very special collegial rural small animal hospital in Live Oak, near Yuba City, Chico, and Sacramento (30 minutes) seeks a strong new graduate or experienced veterinarian to support our wonderful clients. We are surrounded by beautiful farmland and are one hour from the ocean and Lake Tahoe. We are a very safe area with only two hospitalized cases of COVID in the area. Our owner, Dr. Long is very innovative and supports new approaches and modalities. He will get you the tools, resources, and support that you need to thrive as a quality professional. One example of his generosity is that he gifted and built a fence as a surprise for one of his employees. He is a great mentor and teacher. COVID-19 Modifications: Keeping our staff, clients, and pets safe during COVID-19 is a top priority. We have curbside drop off, extraordinary inside cleaning, and solid pandemic protocols. To make your life easier as a candidate, we do a virtual interview combined with a virtual tour of our hospital to save you time, assure confidentiality, and give you a real sense of who we really are.

About Us:

-flexible shifts (4-day work week),

-happy staff with very low turnover,

-4 LVTs, and all staff is cross-trained,

-great equipment: digital whole body and dental x-ray, 2 therapeutic lasers, and 1 surgical laser,

Qualities we are looking for in an associate are:

-passion and competency in your work; comfort with complex and interesting case mix,

-ability to connect and show compassion to clients, pets, and staff,

-enjoying the work and having fun,

-ability to think outside the box and innovate,

Generous compensation ranging from $90K to $140K plus production, health insurance, 401K plan, 50% discount on pet services, $ 3-4K for continuing education, membership dues, licensing fees and relocations expenses.
