Full time veterinary position available in a mixed small animal and exotic practice in Abingdon, Maryland. We are located 45 minutes north of Baltimore with easy access to Interstate 95. We are a 6 doctor practice with a tremendous support staff. This is a busy practice with varied and interesting cases. We practice progressive internal medicine, do much of our soft tissue surgery in house, perform emergency medical procedures regularly, and have the equipment and tools to take it to the next level. Some of which include endoscopy, CO2 surgical laser, therapy laser, access to a mobile sonographer with radiologist interpretation, digital radiography, and complete in house laboratory. While we are not a certified fear-free facility, many of the staff and doctors have completed individual fear-free certification.
We are willing to train (with interest in some exotics being a plus). The schedule is typically an 8 hour day with assigned surgery shifts vs appointments. It is a biweekly schedule in that, week one would be from M-F with the weekend off. Week two would be a 4 day weekday with a half day Saturday. This is a mix of day and night shifts.
Looking for a candidate who is a team player, understands basic surgical technique, possesses positive attitude and strong communication skills with clients.
