Eastside Animal Hospital in Jeffersonville Indiana is seeking a dedicated & skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to support our growing hospital.

We are a busy, AAHA-accredited, small animal hospital with 6 veterinarians. We are looking for an upbeat, energetic and enthusiastic individual who will be committed to our core values of innovation, motivation, dependability and education. These values are what we look for in a successful team member. Client service experience is required. Must be able to work with computers and navigate through social media. Ability to have a flexible work schedule including evenings, shared Saturdays, and holidays is a must. Minutes from downtown Louisville. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
Understands usage and dosage for commonly used prescription drugs including heartworm preventative and prescription flea control products.
Administers SQ, IM and IV injections.
Perform radiographs and performs EKGs.
IV catheter placement
Performs emergency procedures as directed by the veterinarian.
Excellent customer service skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced setting
Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Skill to collect blood from multiple different species preferred
Experience in dental prophies and anesthesia monitoring
New LVT Grads are encouraged to apply!
Candidate will preferably be certified or as a Veterinary Technician. However, candidates with prior experience in this role will be considered.
