Best Friends Animal Hospital is an exciting and progressive small animal practice in Calhoun, Georgia. We occasionally see exotic and farm animal patients as well. We have a fun and friendly staff that enjoy our work, patients and clients! We are open 6 days a week with no on call. The office is conveniently located 7 miles off I-75 and is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. There is a lot of opportunity for extracurricular activities in Calhoun, including tennis, golf, hiking and more! We are minutes from Berry College campus and a short ride further from Chattanooga and Atlanta. We offer a wide variety of services to our patients, ranging from routine preventative care and surgery to advanced diagnostics and orthopedic procedures. We currently have in house blood analyzers, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, digital color ultrasound, endoscope, rigid otoscope/rhinoscope, digital tonometry, cryopen, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximetry and capnography. We encourage mentoring between all staff members.
Because of the huge growth that we’ve seen recently, we are looking to add a long-term doctor to our staff. We are looking for someone to fill a full-time position. Someone looking for a part-time position would be considered as well. New graduates or experienced practitioners will be considered. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. Moving expenses and/or signing bonus negotiable.
We are looking for an individual who's excited to join a team that provides high quality preventative and non-routine care for dogs and cats. There is opportunity to see some exotic and/or farm animal appointments if interested. DVM or equivalent and Georgia Veterinary Medical License required.

About Best Friends Animal Hospital
Best Friends Animal Hospital was established in 2009 and is housed in a 4800 square foot facility. The hospital is situated on a 3 acre campus that includes a walking trail behind the building. We have a large reception and waiting area, 3 exam rooms, large surgery suite with heated hydraulic surgery table, heated hospitalization cages and a separate isolation unit. Our patients consist of approximately 95% dogs and cats, with horses, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and reptiles making up the remaining 5%. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm and Saturday from 9am - 12pm. We currently have in house blood analyzers, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, digital color ultrasound, endoscope, rigid otoscope/rhinoscope, digital tonometry, cryopen, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximetry and capnography. The office is conveniently located 7 miles off I-75 in Calhoun, GA. Berry College, Atlanta, Chattanooga and Rome, GA are all a very short drive away from the hospital.
