Mixed animal practice, especially dairy and beef. On-call duties are shared by all veterinarians except the 2 part-time small animal vets. The job could include more small animal if the new associate desired. We have clinics in Lancaster, Bloomington, Prairie du Chien, and Seneca WI. The PdC office has large animal haul-in facilities with in-house lab and digital x-ray and a fly tilt table. We do some foot trimming, especially bulls, and semen testing. We also have an equine surgical suite. The Lancaster office has digital x-ray. We provide necessary equipment for the employee. We can provide truck or pay mileage. We have 5 portable chutes for on-farm cattle processing. We use easiscan ultrasounds. We have 5 large animal/mixed veterianarians and 2 small animal veterinarians. One to four staff work at each of the clinics including 3 CVTs and 3 groomers. We do scheduled herd healths, sick calls and emergency work, vaccination and processing of calves, semen testing, and other general dairy and beef work. We do work for 2 salebarns in the area. ET work could be a possibility but we currently are limited to putting in frozen embryos. Farms range in size from 35 cows to 1000. We practice in SW Wis and NE Iowa along the scenic Mississippi River valley. There are plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities. The local schools have good reviews and several have recently completed building projects. LaCrosse WI and Dubuque IA are about 60 miles away and Madison WI is about 90 miles away.
