Mixed, Small Animal, or Long-Term Relief in Shippensburg, PA
Burnt Mill Veterinary Center, LLC
The Burnt Mill Veterinary Center seeks an associate veterinarian to join our team in south-central PA. Preference will be given to applicants seeking full-time mixed animal employment with eventual buy-in, but we are ultimately searching for "the right fit" in whatever form that brings. Alternative additions to the practice include a small animal veterinarian, part-time positions, or even long-term relief work (1-2 days/week or ~1 week per month). Established in Shippensburg in 1974, the practice is located 15 minutes from Shippensburg University and 2 hours away from Pennsylvania State University. The current caseload is 60% general small animal medicine and 40% large animal. The routine large animal work primarily consists of 50-100 cow dairy herd checks, along with seasonal equine vaccination and dentistry. We also serve a small amount of beef, small ruminants, and swine clients. We have the tools and facility to support this work, and a specialist network available for referral. On the small animal side there is a growing demand for house calls, as well as opportunity to develop exotics and rehabilitation services. Our primary desire is to develop a long-term relationship with a veterinarian that shares our overall practice philosophy and has the soft skills to serve 3rd generation clientele. New graduates are welcome to apply; we know what mentorship really means and are happy to learn from you as well. The compensation package will be based on your qualifications and proposed duties. Please apply online or call 717-423-6536 to discuss this opportunity with Dr. Ben Rhodes in more detail.
