Emergency veterinarian needed for a busy and well-liked referral and emergency services hospital. Applicants should have a strong interest or advanced training in emergency and critical care. The hospital is staffed with excellent technicians and support people, provides the resources necessary for emergency and critical care but needs veterinarians to provide the service. The equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT scanning, in addition to all the equipment typically necessary for emergency care. The staff is always nurse or veterinary technician trained with nursing assistants and a front staff that has among its duties to discuss and establish fees for the clients. This hospital discourages technical staff and veterinarians to discuss or establish patient fees for hospital care but rather wants those employees to concentrate on the appropriate medical care for each patient. This method of establishing fees for each patient has been successful in this practice.
Perks include a retirement program, paid vacation time accumulated over employment time, scrubs to wear at work, and financial assistance for health insurance with employment time and production success. The central Tennessee Valley is a sportsman paradise with the Tennessee River and its environments, a manufacturing mecca especially with a new automobile manufacturing plant on the near horizon, and the center for space exploration and development of the equipment necessary for space travel. The rockets used by NASA presently to send payloads into space were designed in Huntsville and are built in Decatur. To date some 250 payloads have been successfully launched from Cape Canaveral by these rockets. The people and their families who design and build rockets love their pets. There is plenty of work and a great future in the Tennessee Valley.
