Mission Equine Hospital is located in beautiful historic San Juan Capistrano, CA. San Juan Capistrano has a temperate climate and is approximately 15 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from the wilderness. It offers plenty of cultural as well as recreational activities.
Mission Equine Hospital is a multi-doctor ambulatory practice with a small hospital and surgical facility located one mile west of Blenheim Equisports home of USEF “Premier” hunter jumper shows and multiple Grand Prix events. The practice encompasses an approximate 35 mile area with a client base of 65% performance and 35% pleasure horses. Mission Equine strives to keep the practice progressive with technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, shockwave, regenerative laser (RLT), PRP, IRAP, and pulse magnetic therapies, endoscopy, Vet-stem, complete lab, general gas anesthesia, ECG, pulse oximetry, CO2, and blood pressure monitors.
We are looking for a motivated individual with an excellent work ethic and professional conduct. The applicant must be competent with ultrasound, radiographs, medical endoscopy, colic and lameness evaluations. The execution and comprehension of medical procedures is a requirement. They should be flexible, respectful, and have the ability to work individually and harmoniously with clients, colleagues, and office staff. California license required. USDA accreditation recommended. Emergency duties are shared on a rotating basis.
