Greenock Farm Veterinary Hospital wishes to hire a solid, well rounded small animal practitioner for a mixed animal practice located on the outskirts of Charlotte, NC. We want that person who works hard and truly cares for their patients, our clients and the staff they work with every day. We strive to provide good, intelligent care both medically and surgically. Not unlike a family, we work together and try to make everyone's life better. Presently, we have six veterinarians, two of which enjoy sharing time between large animals (mostly horses) and companion animals. Greenock provides a plethora of quality equipment and diagnostics to work with.
Our Hospital is rather unique. For example, you may see a horse on the surgical table one moment and next a dog or cat. Unlike many "sterile hospitals", we have put together a veterinary practice that has a soul. Clients walk past flower gardens prior to entering our reception and once they enter they are surrounded by antiques and original oil paintings.
Generally, our vets work around 40 hours per week with one day off during the week and every other Saturday. We receive a number of referrals from surrounding hospitals. After hour small animal emergencies are referred to emergency hospitals of which there are multiple such facilities in Charlotte. Our large animal vets care for the hospitals "large" patients after hour emergencies. Our staff and doctors meet on a regular basis to discuss concerns of the clinic.
Experience in diagnosing and treating companion animals. Some proficiency in canine and feline soft tissue surgery. The ability to communicate appropriately with clients and staff. Record keeping as usual.
We are a rural mixed animal practice, primarily equine and canine/feline, centrally located in an area bounded by Charlotte, Concord and Monroe, NC. There are numerous attractions and activities in our area to enjoy in your off time. Our hospital is a full service facility and is well equipped both diagnostically and surgically. We have state of the art digital ultrasound and digital radiology, as well as a therapy laser to provide an alternative healing modality.
