Position Overview: District Managers across our network are trusted members of the Operations team and play an important role in supporting up to 15 hospital locations. They are an essential part of the integration process for newly acquired hospitals and help build key relationships with new teams across our network to drive collaboration and long-term success. District Managers report to the Vice President of Operations and partner closely with them to develop and empower Hospital Managers to create fulfilled, engaged, profitable, and successful teams.
Our Ideal Candidate brings experience managing multiple veterinary hospital locations or has demonstrated success in a similar multi-site leadership role. They possess strong business acumen, clear and effective communication skills, and a deep understanding of veterinary financial management, using that knowledge to guide hospital leadership and enhance overall hospital efficiency. Our newest District Manager will be enthusiastic, positive, flexible, influential, and excited to be a part of a growing organization. Who You’ll Work With: District Managers perform a cross-functional role within our network and work daily with their Hospital Managers and the DVMs at those hospitals; within CareVet, they work closely with the Operations, People and Culture, Integrations, Revenue teams and more!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or relevant education and work experience
- Prior veterinary hospital management experience required
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager or Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician is desirable but not required
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and positive attitude
- Team-oriented and has the skills needed to support a team-based culture

- Interview prospective Hospital Managers
- Facilitate and represent CareVet during on-site interviews for Veterinarians
- Train and build relationships with new Hospital Managers

- This position requires 50-75% travel – primarily day trips with occasional overnights to visit hospitals
