Ever wondered how you could help animals in transitional care and our partners who care for them? We did! Northwest Spay & Neuter is seeking a HQHVSN/Shelter medicine Veterinarian to provide veterinary care to support the welfare of animals and their people through our mobile veterinary clinics on the “The SNip Ship.” NWSN will serve some of the most underserved communities across NW Oregon. We will help pet owners, nonprofit organizations and shelters overcome barriers to spay and neuter (no more births) and basic care, bringing these services directly to the communities that need us most. We provide affordable low cost spay, neuter, preventive care and other routine services. When you come to work at the NWSN, you join a team of colleagues with a passion for the animals we serve and the services we provide. Our mobile clinic is working to not only save lives but also maximize the impact of donated dollars in our clinic and for all our rescue partners. It's a big job, so we are looking for the right mission driven Veterinarian to join our team.
Hours - 3 days a week Friday-Sun, 48 weeks a year (4 weeks paid time off) 8a-5p are common hours. We will travel each weekend to a different location on the coastal region on a 4ish-week rotation and other various locations as requested. You are free the rest of the week to relief or take on a part time position or just enjoy the time off.
Requirements
- *Must be a licensed veterinarian in the state of Oregon or be eligible before start date.
- *Be able to act decisively in a fast-paced environment, communicating clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
- *Be committed to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- *Efficient and self-starting work practice.
