Urgent Care - Medical Director (Veterinarian)

Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is hiring a Full-Time Medical Director Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a variety of animal patients, including cats, dogs, and exotics. The Medical Director is expected to maintain a patient load, as that will remain the primary focus of their daily activity. The time spent on leadership duties and clinical care responsibilities will vary depending on the immediate practice situation. On average, MDs are expected to spend 10-15% of their time on leadership duties, with the rest of their time spent on the clinic floor.

 What to Expect 

• Salary: The base salary for this position is between $145,000 and $155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, there is a pro-sal incentive of 22% (with no negative accrual). High performers have the opportunity to significantly exceed the base salary, with earning potential that can surpass $200,000 per year, depending on productivity.
• Sign on Bonus: $50,000

• Schedule: Our practice operates on an appointment-based model. Clients must call in to secure an urgent care appointment, and once we are fully booked for the day, our doctors will not be required to stay after their scheduled shifts. This structure allows for better work-life balance and ensures that our team can plan their time effectively.

Requirements: 

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid veterinary license in the state of New York
