Bear River Animal Hospital, located in Tremonton, Utah, is seeking several veterinarians to fill positions as a small, large or mixed animal associate. We are a busy mixed animal practice in Northern Utah with a large and loyal client base. The clinic has recently expanded to a total of three locations. We have a brand-new large animal facility in Elwood/Tremonton, a small animal clinic in Malad, Idaho as well as the original small animal clinic in Tremonton. Our clinics currently employ two full-time large animal doctors, one full-time mixed-animal doctor and one full-time small animal doctor. Our current caseload and client demand has proven the need for at least two more associate veterinarians. We practice progressive medicine and offer all the toys and tools you will need to succeed (ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, in-house lab and a surgical laser). We are eager to welcome several new veterinarians to our team.
Tremonton is a rural, fast-growing community and is located about an hour north of Salt Lake City and just over thirty minutes west of Logan. There is access to almost any outdoor activity you can imagine, from skiing, hiking and water sports. We are close enough to larger towns to access what you need but still far enough away to live a quiet and rural lifestyle.
Our doctors work a variety of days and hours depending on which location they are working out of. We are open Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to Noon. There are also different variations of on-call schedules, again depending on which clinic you are primarily working out of. One hundred percent of the out-of-hour emergency fee is paid out in full to the doctor taking call. Pay/Salary depends on experience and there are several options that can be discussed as far as compensation goes (salary, commission-based or a pro-salary/commission based). Aside from the pay that is discussed, we also offer a starting bonus and paid insurance for individuals and/or family (includes medical, dental and vision). Other benefits include 80 hours of PTO, a cell phone and professional dues are paid. The company also offers a 401k program and matches up to 4% (this is offered after a year of employment and 1,000 hours worked). We will provide any tool that you need to succeed!
