Position Details:
Start Date: Flexible — join us when the time is right for you
Schedule: Full-time preferred (4-day workweek)
Compensation: $120K total package with benefits, negotiable depending upon experience level

Requirements
Job requirements:
1. Education & Licensing
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant state and country 
Continuing education credits to maintain licensure (as required by state of Idaho)
 
2. Clinical Skills
Proficient in diagnosing and treating common canine and feline diseases.
Skilled in:
Thorough physical exams- we do rectal exams on all senior canines and check in all ears.
Vaccinations- AVMA standards
Preventive care- 40 min appt times allow for great compliance.
Internal medicine- we have the ability to work up patients quickly.
Dermatology-we are exceptional!
Dentistry- we have dental rads and excellent technicians.
Surgery (routine soft tissue)- we also do some orthopedics if you are interested in learning.
Radiology and Imaging interpretation- we have ultrasound as well.
Basic emergency stabilization- we work in ER's cases when necessary.
 
3. Communication & Client Education (We are a clinic that prioritizes communication)
Able to clearly explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care to pet owners.
Compassionate and professional bedside manner to show how much WE care.
Strong written skills for medical records and client communication.
 
4. Technical & Software Knowledge
Familiarity with veterinary practice management software (currently use AVImark and VetHero)
Understanding of digital radiography, in-house lab equipment (Full Heska Laboratory on site), and electronic medical records.
 
5. Teamwork & Leadership
Ability to collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and front-desk staff.
Contribute to a positive clinic culture.
 
6. Personal Attributes
Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask and find joy in learning/growing/serving as a veterinarian.
Strong ethical standards and work ethic.
High integrity and high level of professionalism at all times with staff/clients.
