The successful candidate will be focused on quality care and excels at assuring client satisfaction. In addition, the candidate must have a strong interest in small animal medicine and both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery skills. The position is available for full time. We offer salary plus production.

* Knowledge of animal surgical techniques. * Ability to observe, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. * Records maintenance skills. * Knowledge of current veterinary theory and practice. * Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures. * Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in the correct usage. * * * * Prescribe and administer drugs, medicines, and vaccines as appropriate. * Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. * Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. * Provide clinical veterinary care, examination, treatment, surgery, and follow-up for animals housed in Clinic. * Conduct post-mortem examination of animals including the performance of hematology, parasitology, microbiology and clinical pathology laboratory tests and procedures. * Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the veterinary care of animals. * Provide clinical veterinary care, examination, treatment, surgery, and follow-up for animals housed in Clinic. * Prepare and maintain records concerning consultations and diagnostic decisions ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. * Assist in the establishment and implementation of an effective quality control system for laboratory work; revise techniques and procedures as required to obtain desired standards.
