For over 15 years The Emergency Animal Hospital has been providing a valuable professional service to the residents of Howard County, Maryland and their neighboring communities. Our hospital is an "after hours" facility offering both emergency and urgent care veterinary services. We are open weekday evenings from 7:00pm until 8:00am the following morning and offer continuous weekend service from 7:00pm on Friday evenings until 8:00am on Monday mornings. Twenty-four hour service is also provided during major holidays.
We are pleased to have Skylos Sports Medicine occupy our facility during weekday daytime hours. Our two independent practices have a well functioning cooperative agreement whereby we provide overnight post-surgical observation and care for their orthopedic patients several nights a week. There are numerous specialty referral options in the area to assist us when needed or when we must refer our ongoing medical cases at our closing time. We offer our doctors a great deal of flexibility in their work schedule. Staff veterinarians average three 13hr shifts per week and can often modify their work schedule to allow for extended periods of time off throughout the year. Outside of rare occasions, or during weekend changes of shifts, our veterinarians enjoy working as the sole doctor on duty. We work hard to have a trained and knowledgeable support staff ready to assist them as necessary.
Currently we are seeking a veterinarian to complete our three doctor team. Our hospital is well equipped and allows us to provide our clients with a high degree of quality care. We are proud of the stability our professional staff has provided us. The core of our current group averages more than ten years of service with facility. It is our hope to hire a new full time staff member as soon as possible, yet we would consider adding doctors who are interested in working only part time hours but on a regular basis. Experience is preferred but we feel we can successfully integrate an enthusiastic recent graduate. The ownership and our medical director are very supportive of the hospital's overall mission. Salary negotiations will be fair and can proceed quickly. We would be glad to design a total compensation package that best meets your needs.
Interested candidates should send resume to Dr. Tom Sullivan at firstname.lastname@example.org or FAX to 410-489-0872. Please call anytime if there are questions or aspects of the position you may wish to discuss. Phone 410-800-7868.
Ideal candidate would have several years of ER experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
Additional Salary Information: Salary depends on experience level.
The Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City was established in 2002 and is an after-hours small animal emergency hospital. We are a small facility, which allows us to pay extra close attention to client satisfaction and patient care.
